This switch is designed to flip back to center position after being flipped up or down. If you are needing a switch that will run a motor both forward and reverse this is the switch you need. Below are schematics on how this switch can be use to run a DC motor in both directions. Rated 20 amps at 12VDC.

To run your motor or actuator back and forth via this switch, you will need to wire your system according to the schematic above. When the switch is released, it will spring back to center and your motor will stop.
