The Actobotics® Servo Controller is a compact 2 channel servo controller that is extremely simple to use while providing some very unique features. Check out the videos below for more product detail.
CONNECTION: Connecting servos can be done in one of two ways:
CUSTOMIZATION: While the servo controller is ready to run right out of the box the PWM signal range can easily be changed in order to tailor the controller to a specific application. The stock PWM range is set to approximately 1000-2000 usec (somewhat standard within the servo industry) which will cause most servos to rotate 90 degrees total (45 degrees each way from center). If you wish to change the range of the servo, the PWM range can be reprogrammed with a single button located on the circuit board. No computer needed.
POWER: The servo controller is capable of handling 4.8-7.4V nominal voltage which can be provided through the 2.5x5.5mm power jack or into the row pins on the top of the board.
MOUNTING STYLE: This partially assembled version comes nearly complete but does not have any potentiometers soldered to the board. We include both pots and pins so you can finish out the board to your specifications. The pots can be soldered onto the top side or the bottom side of the board if you wish to control the servos from a board-mounted pot. If your project requires remote mounted pots you can solder in the included .100” row pins and use male servo connections in order to easily connect the board to the remote mounted pot of your choice (joystick, slider pot, rotational pot, etc.). The circuit board has 4 mounting holes which align perfectly with the Actobotics channel so with the use of 4 standoffs and 8 screws you can securely fasten the board to a structure. When attached to channel you’ll find that the pots align perfectly with the ½” holes in the channel and even the power jack can be accessed if the board is properly spaced off the inside of the channel.
